A system, apparatus and method for synchronising data between a portable storage device and a data store.

Upon connection, the Synchronisation Device (the RatPlug) retrieves an identifier from the Storage Device (the phone, camera etc).

This ID is sent to our Control Server, which returns Connection Data (behaviour, URLs, usernames, passwords, APIs etc for each Content Server) and Capability Data (file formats, screen size & resolution etc) for the Storage Device.

This data is then used by the Synchronisation Device to adapt the file to suit the destination and automate the upload and download between the Storage Device and Content Servers.
